captain bret's boat

just returned from venice, where captain bret graciously allowed me to skipper his yacht on the canals. the water level was quite low in anticipation of the storms in the southland, and the wind highly variable in direction and velocity, leading to some tight tacking and one incident of running aground.

suck ass weather

captain steen just called me to notify me that there have been no new postings on the boate since october. this is rather a depressing state of affairs. actually, there was one uncharted voyage in there, ru and i went out, and i think it was the weekend before thanksgiving. it was a good but cold excursion. but in any case the weather has been without fail stormy every weekend since.
