i went through my kitchen today and just started pitching things into garbage bags. old pots, coffee makers i no longer use, plates and cups and wine glasses that i am not excited about, that kind of shit. a hotplate. a lamp. and i took them straight to the dumpster. fuck garage sales and all that, sometimes it feels really liberating to dive headfirst into action that recognizes pure, disposable consumer culture for what it is.
it felt really good, and i think i am going to do a lot more of it in the days to come. fewer possessions are a better thing.
you berkeley guys are all alike — everything “save the earth” and “reecycle or die.” Jeez.
