i just got a laugh reading this column to the end, where a commenter really knocks it out of the park with some heckling.

    oh i did not mean to infer that i share the columnist’s view of the future. sure, what he envisions is possible, but he seems like he is sitting in the catastrophist camp. i am of the position that we are at or near the end of the expansion phase of the business cycle. so i have raised the cash levels in my account and bought more defensive stocks.
