late night mixed message TV

i turned on the TV this morning at 3AM right before falling asleep and flipped through the handful of broadcast channels that i get (i as a rule don’t watch the tube). it was all infomercials: stock market trading made so simple any idiot can follow the green and red arrows to buy and sell, no money down real estate made so simple any idiot can be living in a 3,500 sq ft place and own several other investment properties, and then a lot of emergency loan ads, with actors talking about how the emergency (and i would imagine they could be called predatory) loans saved their house from foreclosure.
